First I have to start out by saying thank you. Thank you to each of you for your encouraging words and support on my post yesterday where I shared a bit from the heart and why I decided to take a leap of faith to start my own professional organization company. I couldn’t be more excited or grateful, so thank you!
An elopement in the evergreens sounds pretty romantic right? Well when you have an adorable couple, a plot of gorgeous evergreens and Valerie Joy Photography is behind the lens, the combination is really just about as beautiful as it sounds. I had the honor of collaborating with Valerie on this styled shoot and it was such a dream to design with her. From the sweetheart table setting to a blush pink dessert bar, it all came together to exemplify wintery romance. All of these images are from the talented Valerie herself. Valerie is a photographer in the Columbia City, Indiana area. You can check out more of her work here: Valerie Joy Photography.
ELOPEMENT IN THE EVERGREENS
It’s all in the details, and there is nothing like a little fresh cute greenery, some twine, and gold silverware to spice up a table setting. Layering it all on the evenings dinner menu makes for a great finishing touch.
Layers, layers and more layers- that’s the name of my table setting game. Round wood logs, gold chargers, and my go to white plates, made for an elegant place setting for the bride and groom. I love the simplicity of using apples as name tags. Just a little paper leaf with the bride/groom’s name and a pretty pearled pin and you’re done.
ALL OF THE FUN STUFF
Popping champagne, eating cake, and cuddling up-that’s the fun stuff, right? These two nailed the “popping champagne look” while I was hiding behind an evergreen for fear of getting taken out by the cork- those things seem to be so unpredictable! Love how classy these glasses are that Valerie picked up with the bubbles from the champagne- so fun!
I had so much fun putting together a little dessert bar. I was a little skeptical attempting to bake and frost a naked cake, but somehow all three tiers of the cake stayed together for the shoot without collapsing, so I’ll call that a win. And, I may or may not have had a few bites out of it on the drive home. I can’t resist chocolate cake. Who I am kidding, I can’t resist cake in general.
I love the texture of this white faux fur blanket. Perfectly cozy for this time of year. Don’t they look cute all bundled up together? It was so cold the day of the shoot, but they were such troopers.
Such a fun day and so thankful to collaborate with Valerie– she is full of such creativity and talent. I love having projects like these- so much joy and love! It’s so refreshing! Hope this brings you a little smile to your face on this Wednesday. We are half way through the week friends. Have a blessed day!
